The tecla library provides UNIX and LINUX programs with interactive command line editing facilities, similar to those of the unix tcsh shell. In addition to simple command-line editing, it supports recall of previously entered command lines, TAB completion of file names, and in-line wild-card expansion of filenames. The internal functions which perform file-name completion and wild-card expansion are also available externally for optional use by programs, along with a module for tab-completion and lookup of filenames in a list of directories.

To install tecla, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install tecla
To see what files were installed by tecla, run:
port contents tecla
To later upgrade tecla, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade tecla
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
