This port provides a nearly complete wrapping of the Oracle/Sleepycat C API for the Database Environment, Database, Cursor, Log Cursor, Sequence and Transaction objects. Each of these is exposed as a Python type in the bsddb3.db module.

To install py38-bsddb3, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install py38-bsddb3
To see what files were installed by py38-bsddb3, run:
port contents py38-bsddb3
To later upgrade py38-bsddb3, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade py38-bsddb3
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
