A thread pool is an object that maintains a pool of worker threads to perform time consuming operations in parallel. It assigns jobs to the threads by putting them in a work request queue, where they are picked up by the next available thread. This then performs the requested operation in the background and puts the results in another queue.

To install py36-threadpool, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install py36-threadpool
To see what files were installed by py36-threadpool, run:
port contents py36-threadpool
To later upgrade py36-threadpool, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade py36-threadpool
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
