To configure the metabase service, edit:
- $ sudo vi ${prefix}/etc/metabase/metabase.conf
Supported settings include MB_JETTY_HOST, MB_JETTY_PORT, MB_DB_FILE, MB_PLUGINS_DIR,
MB_JAVA_OPTS, and any other Metabase environment variables.
On activation, if ${prefix}/etc/metabase/metabase.conf does not exist, it will be created from:
- ${prefix}/etc/metabase/metabase.conf.sample
User changes to ${prefix}/etc/metabase/metabase.conf are preserved across port upgrades. After upgrading,
compare ${prefix}/etc/metabase/metabase.conf with ${prefix}/etc/metabase/metabase.conf.sample for any new defaults.

Once the service is enabled, metabase will by default:
- Listen by default on: http://127.0.0.1:3000
- Write logs to: ${prefix}/var/log/metabase/metabase.log A startup item has been generated that will aid in starting metabase with launchd. It is disabled by default. Execute the following command to start it, and to cause it to launch at startup:
sudo port load metabase
