Bit-Twist is a simple yet powerful libpcap-based Ethernet packet generator. It is designed to compliment tcpdump, which by itself has done a great job in capturing network traffic. With Bit-Twist, you can now regenerate the captured traffic onto a live network! Packets are generated from tcpdump trace file (.pcap file). Bit-Twist also comes with a comprehensive trace file editor to allow you to change the contents of a trace file.

To install bittwist, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install bittwist
To see what files were installed by bittwist, run:
port contents bittwist
To later upgrade bittwist, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade bittwist
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
