XZ utils consist of a few relatively separate submodules:
* LZMA/XZ encoder/decoder command line tool similar to gzip/bzip2
* Scripts to ease grepping, diffing and viewing (lz*grep, lzdiff/lzcmp, lzmore/lzless)

To install xz-bootstrap, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install xz-bootstrap
To see what files were installed by xz-bootstrap, run:
port contents xz-bootstrap
To later upgrade xz-bootstrap, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade xz-bootstrap
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
