The xkbcomp keymap compiler converts a description of an XKB keymap into one of several output formats. The most common use for xkbcomp is to create a compiled keymap file (.xkm extension) which can be read directly by XKB-capable X servers or utilities. The keymap compiler can also produce C header files or XKB source files.

To install xkbcomp, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install xkbcomp
To see what files were installed by xkbcomp, run:
port contents xkbcomp
To later upgrade xkbcomp, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade xkbcomp
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
