Tor provides a distributed network of servers (onion routers). Users bounce their TCP streams (web traffic, FTP, SSH, etc.) around the routers. This makes it hard for recipients, observers, and even the onion routers themselves to track the source of the stream.

To install tor-devel, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install tor-devel
To see what files were installed by tor-devel, run:
port contents tor-devel
To later upgrade tor-devel, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade tor-devel
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
