tin is a full-screen easy to use Usenet reader. It can read news locally or remotely via a NNTP (Network News Transport Protocol) server. It will automatically utilize NOV (News OVerview) style index files if available locally or via the NNTP XOVER command.

To install tin, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install tin
To see what files were installed by tin, run:
port contents tin
To later upgrade tin, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade tin
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
