SUite of Nonlinear and DIfferential/ALgebraic equation Solvers
SUNDIALS consists of the following five solvers: CVODE solves initial value problems for ordinary differential equation (ODE) systems. CVODES solves ODE systems and includes sensitivity analysis capabilities (forward and adjoint). IDA solves initial value problems for differential-algebraic equation (DAE) systems. IDAS solves DAE systems and includes sensitivity analysis capabilities (forward and adjoint). KINSOL solves nonlinear algebraic systems.

To install sundials5, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install sundials5
To see what files were installed by sundials5, run:
port contents sundials5
To later upgrade sundials5, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade sundials5
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
