Sortix rw is a program that reads blocks from the standard input and copies them to the standard output until the end of the standard input. rw(1) is designed to be a replacement for dd(1), providing only the the core blockwise I/O. It has a standard command line interface with dashed options, useful and efficient defaults.

To install rw, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install rw
To see what files were installed by rw, run:
port contents rw
To later upgrade rw, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade rw
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
