ruby_parser (RP) is a ruby parser written in pure ruby (utilizing racc, which does by default use a C extension). RP's output is the same as ParseTree's output: s-expressions using ruby's arrays and base types.

To install rb33-ruby_parser, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install rb33-ruby_parser
To see what files were installed by rb33-ruby_parser, run:
port contents rb33-ruby_parser
To later upgrade rb33-ruby_parser, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade rb33-ruby_parser
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
