ranger is a file manager with VI key bindings. It provides a minimalistic and nice curses interface with a view on the directory hierarchy. The secondary task of ranger is to psychically guess which program you want to use for opening particular files.

To install ranger, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install ranger
To see what files were installed by ranger, run:
port contents ranger
To later upgrade ranger, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade ranger
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
