object-oriented api for python to access LDAP directory servers
python-ldap provides an object-oriented API to access LDAP directory servers from Python programs. Mainly it wraps the OpenLDAP 2.x libs for that purpose. Additionally the package contains modules for other LDAP-related stuff (e.g. processing LDIF, LDAPURLs, LDAPv3 schema, etc.).

To install py39-ldap, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install py39-ldap
To see what files were installed by py39-ldap, run:
port contents py39-ldap
To later upgrade py39-ldap, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade py39-ldap
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
