contextily is a small Python package to retrieve tile maps from the internet. It can add those tiles as basemaps to matplotlib figures or write tile maps to disk into geospatial raster files. Bounding boxes can be passed in both WGS84 and Spheric Mercator.

To install py39-contextily, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install py39-contextily
To see what files were installed by py39-contextily, run:
port contents py39-contextily
To later upgrade py39-contextily, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade py39-contextily
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
