astroplan is an open source Python package to help astronomers plan observations. The goal of astroplan is to make a flexible toolbox for observation planning and scheduling. When complete, the goal is to be easy for Python beginners and new observers to to pick up, but powerful enough for observatories preparing nightly and long-term schedules.

To install py39-astroplan, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install py39-astroplan
To see what files were installed by py39-astroplan, run:
port contents py39-astroplan
To later upgrade py39-astroplan, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade py39-astroplan
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
