pathspec is a utility library for pattern matching of file paths. So far this only includes Git’s wildmatch pattern matching which itself is derived from Rsync’s wildmatch. Git uses wildmatch for its gitignore files.

To install py38-pathspec, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install py38-pathspec
To see what files were installed by py38-pathspec, run:
port contents py38-pathspec
To later upgrade py38-pathspec, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade py38-pathspec
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
