It is designed to be usable as everdays' quick and dirty editor as well as being usable as a professional project management tool integrating many advanced features Python offers the professional coder.

To install py38-eric-ide, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install py38-eric-ide
To see what files were installed by py38-eric-ide, run:
port contents py38-eric-ide
To later upgrade py38-eric-ide, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade py38-eric-ide
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
