Spatial Optimization (spopt) is an open-source Python library for solving optimization problems with spatial data. Originating from the region module in PySAL (Python Spatial Analysis Library), it is under active development for the inclusion of newly proposed models and methods for regionalization, facility location, and transportation-oriented solutions.

To install py313-spopt, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install py313-spopt
To see what files were installed by py313-spopt, run:
port contents py313-spopt
To later upgrade py313-spopt, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade py313-spopt
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
