SPARK stands for the Scanning, Parsing, and Rewriting Kit. It formerly had no name, and was referred to as the little language framework. The first version (circa 1998) was described in the paper Compiling Little Languages in Python at the 7th International Python Conference.

To install py27-spark, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install py27-spark
To see what files were installed by py27-spark, run:
port contents py27-spark
To later upgrade py27-spark, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade py27-spark
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
