pdfrw lets you read and write PDF files, including compositing multiple pages together (e.g. to do watermarking, or to copy an image or diagram from one PDF to another), and can output by itself, or in conjunction with reportlab.

To install py27-pdfrw, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install py27-pdfrw
To see what files were installed by py27-pdfrw, run:
port contents py27-pdfrw
To later upgrade py27-pdfrw, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade py27-pdfrw
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
