PyNIO is a Python package that allows read and/or write access to a variety of data formats using an interface modeled on netCDF. PyNIO is composed of a C library called libnio along with a Python module based on and with an interface similar to the Scientific.IO.NetCDF module written by Konrad Hinsen.

To install py27-nio, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install py27-nio
To see what files were installed by py27-nio, run:
port contents py27-nio
To later upgrade py27-nio, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade py27-nio
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
