Hachoir is a Python library used to represent of a binary file as a tree of Python objects. Each object has a type, a value, an address, etc. The goal is to be able to know the meaning of each bit in a file.

To install py27-hachoir-core, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install py27-hachoir-core
To see what files were installed by py27-hachoir-core, run:
port contents py27-hachoir-core
To later upgrade py27-hachoir-core, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade py27-hachoir-core
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
