PyGObject provides a convenient wrapper for the GObject+ library for use in Python programs, and takes care of many of the boring details such as managing memory and type casting. When combined with PyGTK, PyORBit and gnome-python, it can be used to write full featured Gnome applications.

To install py27-gobject, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install py27-gobject
To see what files were installed by py27-gobject, run:
port contents py27-gobject
To later upgrade py27-gobject, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade py27-gobject
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
