ProxSMTP is a flexible tool that allows you to reject, change or log email based on arbitrary critera. It accepts SMTP connections and forwards the SMTP commands and responses to another SMTP server. The 'DATA' email body is intercepted and filtered before forwarding.

To install proxsmtp, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install proxsmtp
To see what files were installed by proxsmtp, run:
port contents proxsmtp
To later upgrade proxsmtp, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade proxsmtp
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
