procServ is a wrapper that starts an arbitrary command (e.g. an EPICS soft IOC) as a child process in the background, connecting its standard input and output to a TCP port for telnet access. It supports logging, child restart (manual or automatic) etc.

To install procServ, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install procServ
To see what files were installed by procServ, run:
port contents procServ
To later upgrade procServ, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade procServ
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
