Suhosin is an advanced protection system for PHP installations. It was designed to protect servers and users from known and unknown flaws in PHP applications and the PHP core. Suhosin is binary compatible to normal PHP installations, which means it is compatible to 3rd party binary extensions like ZendOptimizer.

To install php56-suhosin, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install php56-suhosin
To see what files were installed by php56-suhosin, run:
port contents php56-suhosin
To later upgrade php56-suhosin, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade php56-suhosin
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
