Parrot is a virtual machine designed to efficiently compile and execute bytecode for dynamic languages. Parrot currently hosts a variety of language implementations in various stages of completion, including Tcl, Javascript, Ruby, Lua, Scheme, PHP, Python, Perl 6, and a .NET bytecode translator.

To install parrot, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install parrot
To see what files were installed by parrot, run:
port contents parrot
To later upgrade parrot, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade parrot
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
