The Digest::MD5 module allows you to use the RSA Data Security Inc. MD5 Message Digest algorithm from within Perl programs. The algorithm takes as input a message of arbitrary length and produces as output a 128-bit fingerprint or message digest of the input. MD5 is described in RFC 1321.

To install p5.34-digest-md5, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install p5.34-digest-md5
To see what files were installed by p5.34-digest-md5, run:
port contents p5.34-digest-md5
To later upgrade p5.34-digest-md5, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade p5.34-digest-md5
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
