The Digest::SHA1 module allows you to use the NIST SHA-1 message digest algorithm from within Perl programs. The algorithm takes as input a message of arbitrary length and produces as output a 160-bit "fingerprint" or "message digest" of the input.

To install p5.32-digest-sha1, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install p5.32-digest-sha1
To see what files were installed by p5.32-digest-sha1, run:
port contents p5.32-digest-sha1
To later upgrade p5.32-digest-sha1, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade p5.32-digest-sha1
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
