This is Crypt::CBC, a Perl-only implementation of the the cryptographic cipher block chaining mode (CBC). In combination with a block cipher such as Crypt::DES or Crypt::IDEA, you can encrypt and decrypt messages of arbitrarily long length. The encrypted messages are compatible with the encryption format used by SSLeay.

To install p5.28-crypt-cbc, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install p5.28-crypt-cbc
To see what files were installed by p5.28-crypt-cbc, run:
port contents p5.28-crypt-cbc
To later upgrade p5.28-crypt-cbc, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade p5.28-crypt-cbc
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
