Normalize is an overly complicated tool for adjusting the volume of wave files to a standard volume level. This is useful for things like creating mp3 mixes, where different recording levels on different albums can cause the volume to vary greatly from song to song.

To install normalize, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install normalize
To see what files were installed by normalize, run:
port contents normalize
To later upgrade normalize, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade normalize
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
