NBTscan is a program for scanning IP networks for NetBIOS name information. It sends NetBIOS status query to each address in supplied range and lists received information in human readable form. For each responded host it lists IP address, NetBIOS computer name, logged-in user name and MAC address.

To install nbtscan, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install nbtscan
To see what files were installed by nbtscan, run:
port contents nbtscan
To later upgrade nbtscan, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade nbtscan
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
