The LLVM Core libraries provide a modern source- and target-independent optimizer, along with code generation support for many popular CPUs (as well as some less common ones!) These libraries are built around a well specified code representation known as the LLVM intermediate representation ("LLVM IR").

To install llvm-17, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install llvm-17
To see what files were installed by llvm-17, run:
port contents llvm-17
To later upgrade llvm-17, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade llvm-17
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
