Most users will not have to modify the library significantly, advanced users may want to modify it more. The library was coded for both users. All attempts were made to make it as complete as possible, while keeping the code easy to understand. Currently, this library only supports C. Support for other languages is being considered.

To install libpng, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install libpng
To see what files were installed by libpng, run:
port contents libpng
To later upgrade libpng, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade libpng
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
