libnova is a general purpose, double precision, Celestial Mechanics, Astrometry and Astrodynamics library. The intended audience of libnova is C / C++ programmers, astronomers and anyone else interested in calculating positions of astronomical objects or celestial mechanics. libnova is the calculation engine used by the Nova project and most importantly, is free software.

To install libnova, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install libnova
To see what files were installed by libnova, run:
port contents libnova
To later upgrade libnova, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade libnova
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
