LibKipi (KDE Image Plugin Interface) is a C++ interface to use kipi-plugins from a KDE image management program like digiKam. Kipi-plugins project is an effort to develop a common set of plugins dedicated to manipulated photographs. Its aim is to share image plugins among graphic applications.

To install libkipi, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install libkipi
To see what files were installed by libkipi, run:
port contents libkipi
To later upgrade libkipi, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade libkipi
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
