LibKExiv2 is a wrapper around Exiv2 library to manipulate pictures metadata as EXIF, IPTC, and XMP. This Metadata interface follow Metadata Working Group Specification. This library is used by kipi-plugins, digiKam and others kipi host programs.

To install libkexiv2, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install libkexiv2
To see what files were installed by libkexiv2, run:
port contents libkexiv2
To later upgrade libkexiv2, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade libkexiv2
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
