The libcdio package contains a library which encapsulates CD-ROM reading and control. Applications wishing to be oblivious of the OS- and device-dependent properties of a CD-ROM can use this library.

To install libcdio, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install libcdio
To see what files were installed by libcdio, run:
port contents libcdio
To later upgrade libcdio, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade libcdio
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
