JACK (JACK Audio Connection Kit) refers to an API and two implementations of this API, jack1 and jack2. It provides a basic infrastructure for audio applications to communicate with each other and with audio hardware. To install jack, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install jack
To see what files were installed by jack, run:
port contents jack
To later upgrade jack, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade jack
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
