hexyl is a simple hex viewer for the terminal. It uses a colored output to distinguish different categories of bytes (NULL bytes, printable ASCII characters, ASCII whitespace characters, other ASCII characters and non-ASCII).

To install hexyl, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install hexyl
To see what files were installed by hexyl, run:
port contents hexyl
To later upgrade hexyl, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade hexyl
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
