Port notes
The configuration files (and only files) in ${prefix}/etc/haproxy are loaded in lexical order; only non hidden files with .cfg extension are added.
Adjust these files to your needs before starting haproxy with the startup item. A startup item has been generated that will aid in starting haproxy with launchd. It is disabled by default. Execute the following command to start it, and to cause it to launch at startup:
sudo port load haproxy
