libguestfs is a set of tools for accessing and modifying virtual machine (VM) disk images. You can use this for viewing and editing files inside guests, scripting changes to VMs, monitoring disk used/free statistics, creating guests, P2V, V2V, performing backups, cloning VMs, building VMs, formatting disks, resizing disks, and much more.

To install guestfs-tools, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install guestfs-tools
To see what files were installed by guestfs-tools, run:
port contents guestfs-tools
To later upgrade guestfs-tools, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade guestfs-tools
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
