Global Self-consistent Hierarchical High-resolution Geography (GSHHG)
Global Self-consistent Hierarchical High-resolution Geography (GSHHG) is a high-resolution shoreline data set amalgamated from three databases: World Vector Shorelines (WVS), CIA World Data Bank II (WDBII), and Atlas of the Cryosphere (AC). GSHHG contains vector descriptions at five different resolutions of land outlines, lakes, rivers, and political boundaries. To read and process the data you should install GMT, the Generic Mapping Tools (port gmt5).

To install gshhg-gmt, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install gshhg-gmt
To see what files were installed by gshhg-gmt, run:
port contents gshhg-gmt
To later upgrade gshhg-gmt, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade gshhg-gmt
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
