ghsum allows you to easily print MacPorts checksums for tagged versions of your project on GitHub (or branches as well). This can be useful for updating Portfiles.
ghsum allows you to easily print MacPorts checksums for tagged versions of your project on GitHub (or branches as well). This can be useful for updating Portfiles.
To install ghsum, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install ghsum
To see what files were installed by ghsum, run:
port contents ghsum
To later upgrade ghsum, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade ghsum
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
