Time shifting of live broadcast is also supported. ffplay is a simple media player based on SDL and on ffmpeg libraries. ffprobe gathers information from multimedia streams and prints it in human- and machine-readable fashion. libavcodec is a library containing all the ffmpeg audio/video encoders and decoders. Most codecs were developed from scratch to ensure best performance and high code reusability. libavformat is a library containing parsers and generators for all common audio/video formats.

To install ffmpeg7, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install ffmpeg7
To see what files were installed by ffmpeg7, run:
port contents ffmpeg7
To later upgrade ffmpeg7, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade ffmpeg7
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
