Dynamips emulates a variety of Cisco routers on a traditional PC. It supports the emulation of select 7200, 3600, 3700, and 2600 series routers. It uses real Cisco IOS images (which are not part of this package). Of course, this emulator cannot replace a real router. It is simply a complementary tool to real labs for administrators of Cisco networks or people wanting to pass their CCNA/CCNP/CCIE exams.

To install dynamips, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install dynamips
To see what files were installed by dynamips, run:
port contents dynamips
To later upgrade dynamips, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade dynamips
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
