dvd::rip is a full featured DVD copy program written in Perl. It provides an easy to use but feature-rich Gtk+ GUI to control almost all aspects of the ripping and transcoding process. It uses the widely known video processing swissknife transcode and many other Open Source tools.

To install dvdrip, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install dvdrip
To see what files were installed by dvdrip, run:
port contents dvdrip
To later upgrade dvdrip, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade dvdrip
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
