SAOImage DS9 astronomical imaging and visualization application
SAOImage DS9 is an astronomical imaging and data visualization application. DS9 supports FITS images and binary tables, multiple frame buffers, region manipulation, and many scale algorithms and colormaps. It provides for easy communication with external analysis tasks and is highly configurable and extensible via XPA and SAMP.

To install ds9, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install ds9
To see what files were installed by ds9, run:
port contents ds9
To later upgrade ds9, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade ds9
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
