Cherokee is a relatively new HTTP server designed to be as performant as Apache and lighttpd, but much easier to configure and maintain. It ships out-of-the-box SCGI support, making it ideal for deploying dynamic websites.

To install cherokee, run the following command in macOS terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal)
sudo port install cherokee
To see what files were installed by cherokee, run:
port contents cherokee
To later upgrade cherokee, run:
sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade cherokee
Reporting an issue on MacPorts Trac
The MacPorts Project uses a system called Trac to file tickets to report bugs and enhancement requests.
Though anyone may search Trac for tickets, you must have a GitHub account in order to login to Trac to create tickets.
